WHAT'S IN THE ACADEMY?

The Academy is a ten-week, rotating math skill program. We start at lesson 1 (Fractions) and end 10 weeks later at lesson 10 (Quadratic Equations). This calendar repeats every ten weeks. Each lesson builds upon the skills learned in the previous week.

Each week you are assigned 3 - 5 lessons that are designed to help you become proficient in a math skill. Proficient means you can do the skill and you can do word and picture problems involving the skill. All assignments are delivered via email.

There is a discussion session where you can post questions directly to the Academy instructor and other students, make comments and share things you have learned.

Our goal is to help you focus on one skill each week and get it down! We accomplish this goal by:

FAQs

• Are there live classes that I need to attend? No. You will receive video instruction along with assignments that you can complete at the times that work best for you to study.
• I want to join now but I want to know which lesson you are on right now. How do I find out? Email damon@mygedlive.com to find out what lesson the Academy is currently covering.
• I see there is a monthly fee. How long can I expect to be in the course? The course is 10 weeks, so to complete all ten lessons, you would need to be active for 3-months. However, you can join and cancel at any time.
• When do the assignments get sent out? The assignments are sent out 3-5 times each week, depending on the subject. Monday is always the first day of the lesson week and you can expect an assignment on Monday morning.
• Can I get a refund? No. We offer a free one-week trial for you to try the Academy and we encourage you to be active during that week so you can know if this feels right for you. Also, you can cancel at any time and end further billing.
